Chad A. Craig, Executive Director

Chad A. Craig is proud to lead the Teen Therapy Center, Family Therapy Center, and Healthy Brain Center as Executive Director. He brings extensive experience in community services delivery and administration, social justice advocacy, strategic development and planning, youth leadership programming, staff and program management, strategic communications, and community and stakeholder engagement. His lifelong passion for improving mental health outcomes for all makes him passionate about the centers’ work and commitment to excellence.

Chad’s early career development was in hospitality management and training before taking on roles in higher education, consulting, and community services. Most recently, Chad was co-founder and administrative director of Five/Fourteen, the first foster care agency dedicated solely to providing services and support to LGBTQ youth at risk of homelessness, and their foster families. He previously served as advancement communications manager for York University, one of North America's largest and most comprehensive universities. Before that, he served the university as community relations manager, building positive relationships with local neighborhoods, community groups, and the city.

Chad earned a bilingual Bachelor of Arts (honors) in International Studies from York University’s Glendon College, where he began his community advocacy work as a director and then executive of the school’s independent scholarship fundraising board. As a volunteer and consultant, Chad went on to advise and serve on committees and boards at nonprofit organizations like the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation, Pride Toronto and World Pride 2014, CANFAR, The 519 Church Street Community Centre, and Trans Wellness Ontario (TWO), in support of higher education access, HIV and mental health research and services access, equal rights and Pride celebrations for LGBTQ communities, equitable support for minority populations in child welfare systems, and community hub programming and operations.

Together, Chad and the centers’ founder, stand behind six core values that are proudly woven into the fabric of the centers: it all starts with relationships, we exceed expectations, we do the right thing, we embrace a positive mindset, we are always improving, and we are professional in all we do. It is her hope that all who interact with our center feel supported, heard, and know that these foundational beliefs inform all our intentions, actions, and work.

Chad knows that we can only be at our healthiest when receiving truly holistic care, provided by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of clinicians and support staff. He weaves this knowledge into all he does at our centers, and he is honored to lead a team that is united in a shared commitment to the wellness of our clients and the broader community.
